- First Phase - Pre Sales
- Managed pre-sales activities and contract negotiations with HOT Telecom Cable operator to delivered VoIP and Centrex services
- Unified messaging, SMS and IT services
- Initially I edited and responded to HOT’s RFP
- During the negotiation process I performed financial analysis and ROI marketing models, pricing models and margin analysis. Following the wining phase I become the CTO to build and integrate the HOT VoIP network, which consisted of 20 different vendors including: Cisco (CMTS-routers), Lucent (Firewall, VitalNet), Nortel (Softswitch), Gallery (Softswitch), Audiocodes (MGW), Juniper-Kagoor (SBC), C-Core (Provisioning), Hughes (Billing-mediation), Netcool (alarms-system and SNMP traps), Cognitronix (Signaling-mediation), Radcom (network-probs), Remedy (trouble-ticketing), Amdoc-Sigvalue(Billing, SMS, and Directory services), Vericom (Unified-messaging), Sun(servers-system), TTI (CDR-Analysis), Enterasys (LAN-Switches, Denial of Service and Intrusion Detection systems).

- Design the network architecture
- Define and coordinate all the activities among the various vendors
- Assessed IP network performance measures to support VoIP traffic (delay and jitter)
- VoIP planning and design (IN features capabilities as well as feature transparency between two Softswitchs)
- Security design and access control, access and core network performance and sizing, network connectivity
- OSS/BSS design and NMS integration
- Managed 5 engineers and 8 project managers working for me
CTO group has had the following responsibilities:
- IP network assessments, VoIP planning and recommendations, access and core network sizing, services integration, next generation OSS/BSS designed and operational efficiency
- VoIP network architectural design as well as secure SIP network infrastructure
- Delivered VoIP network infrastructure using multivendor systems integration projects, which consisted of IP networking, Softswitch, Centrex, Media Gateways, LAN switching, packet-cable networks access, CMTS, Distributed SBCs, Firewalls, DDoS - intrusion detection and protection systems, CALEA, SMS and Unified communication capabilities
- Developed IP network connectivity - Sizing (MPLS/TE, QoS, TCA), performance (delay, jitter, packet loss)
- Integrated UC – IM (chat), presence, IP telephony, video conferencing, call control and speech control, unified messaging (voicemail, e-mail, SMS and fax)
- Derived operation work flow for OSS/BSS/NMS - Process reengineering, performance measures, and cost
- Designed Shared geographical redundancy - security and access control design (FW, SBC, AAA)
- Coordinates problem solving and performance analysis between 20 vendors, 40 engineers and 10 testers
- Integrated and deployed the following protocols: SIP, RIP, OSPF, SMNP, TCP/IP, CLI, XML, H.323, H.248, MEGACO, CORBA, SOAP, Radius/Diameter, SS7, ISUP, PRI, MGCP, TGCP, NCS, INAP/TCAP and IN concepts
- Third Phase - Director
- Managed 10 engineers, 8 project managers, 20 testing engineers and 5 IP specialists. As a director I worked with the customers, providing guidance and network architecture for scaling and expanding the network to serve over 1 million subscribers fully redundant including site redundancy
- Helped to finalize the network handout to the customer, provided training programs and finalized billing with the customers and the various vendors. Currently, the HOT Telecom VoIP network serves over 1,000,000 subscribers.
